A tragedy on the Chicago River a century ago, now barely remembered

On my Second City History blog I have a new post up about a disaster 99 years ago that killed more than 800 people - but one you've probably never heard of if you aren't from Chicago, and maybe even then. It's a story I stumbled on on my regular walks past the Bohemian National Cemetery.
